Since re-locating to Skye in early 2002, Rick Taylor has become firmly embedded in Scotland’s diverse Trad/Contemporary music scene.
He has played with: Peatbog Faeries (current) The Unusual Suspects (current) Martin Green’s Green Machine (current) Harem Scarem, Johnny Hardie, Callum MacCrimmon, Back ‘O The Moon, Justin Currie, Amy Geddes, Sandy Wright, Christine Hanson, Colin McIntyre, Fiona Mackenzie, Salsa Celtica and Rumba Caliente.
He has made guest appearances with: Karine Polwart – Cambridge Folk Festival, The Chair-Cambridge Festival, Blazin Fiddles 10th Anniversary, RGCH Glasgow, Harem Scarem, Saltfish Forty.
Radio Scotland Programs –"Travelling Folk" and "Bruce MacGregor and Friends".
2009 saw Rick leading his large ensemble “The Wayward Boys” at their Celtic Connections “New Voices” debut to both critical and public acclaim.
